CeraTough®-0102: TiAlN/CrN
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) is IBC’s premier coating for die casting applications, finding uses also in plastic injection molding and metal forming.
Properties Unique CeraTough®-0102:
- Capable of achieving high thickness (up to 10µm)
- High thermal stability and oxidation resistance (800°C)
- Extremely high hardness, high thickness, and high temperature stability mitigate washout and prolong life in die cast tooling
- Can be coupled with pre-nitriding to create a “duplex” coating that is extremely resistant to thermal fatigue and heat check
- Excellent release properties against molten aluminum and a range of thermoplastics (PE, PP, ABS, PC, PEEK, and others)

Size Capabilities:
- CAPVD chamber capacity: 45” tall x 40” diameter, 3,000 lbs
- Multi-axis rotation available for uniformity on complex shapes
