CNC Machinist - posted 12/11/18

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Produce machined parts to tight tolerances by setting up and operating a variety of machines such as  lathes, milling lathes, and CNC lathes.
  2. Read and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and surfaces to be machined on finished work-piece, sequence of operations and set-up requirements.
  3. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, angle and depth of cut required for machining.
  4. Perform set-up and operation of lathe mill, CNC lathe, and Haas and Mazak mills.

  1. Operate and maintain lab inspection equipment (i.e. hardness testers, spectrometers, electrolytic analyzers, pH meters, centrifuges, precision saws, microscopes, surface roughness gages, dimensional inspection equipment, scanning electron microscopy, micrometers, eddy current probe, etc.).
