Process Description
The repaired area is filled in several passes until the desired height is achieved. Patented wires with different compositions are used with hardness levels from 20-55 HRC. The transfer of heat outside the welding point is eliminated by extremely short pulse duration (10-9 seconds). The temperature of the part in 1/18" distance from the weld is not more than 90oF while complete fusion occurs between the repaired part and the welding wire. The accuracy of the weld may be controlled within 0.002".
